What did you do in a former life?
In a former life, Nicole was an engineer who worked with NASA before taking the leap into holistic health.
What inspired your product(s)?
When Health Junkie, Nicole Lazar, was pregnant, an ill friend visited her home. She did everything she could to boost her immune system, knowing she was particularly vulnerable. Looking for a good elderberry syrup supplement, Nicole was disappointed with what she found: products with an excess of processed sugar and other additives seemed to be the only options. Knowing she could make something healthier and more wholesome herself, Nicole got to work. Demand for her Elderberry Syrup began with family and close friends, and quickly spread.
How has Central Kitchen helped your business?
Central Kitchen has been vital to the launch and growth of Health Junkie! From the early days of incubator classes and rented commercial kitchen space to sourcing, networking, marketing and production support, Health Junkie has partnered with Central Kitchen for all phases of growth.
